Team Ninja next project is Rise of the Ronin RPG game

“Rise of the Ronin” was revealed by Koei Tecmo Games at “State of Play” on September 14th. The “Team NINJA” Koei Tecmo Games production team, renowned for the “Nio” and “Ninja Gaiden” series, is in charge of this open-world action Role Playing Game (RPG). The game is set in Japan near the close of the Edo era, and the player takes on the role of a “ronin” who is liberated from all master-servant attachments and explores a quickly evolving Japan.

Check out the game trailer:

A combat-focused open-world action role-playing game, Rise of the Ronin, is set during a period of significant upheaval in Japan. The 300-year-long Edo Period, often known as “Bakumatsu,” is coming to a close. As the civil war between the Tokugawa Shogunate and the Anti-Shogunate factions rages, Japan is experiencing the darkest of times as it battles with its harsh rulers and terrible illnesses. At the same time, western influence is permeating the country.

As you can see from the trailer published this time, it appears that it will have unusual moves that blend weaponry like rifles and revolvers with melee weapons like swords and naginata. You may also observe his usage of other tools, such as using an object resembling a glider to fly from a high point and a rope to drag adversaries.

The work also emphasizes the narrative component, and each individual the player encounters has its own goals and opinions. Each choice a player makes, whether to support them or oppose them, has significant implications.

Rise of the Ronin is slated to arrive on PS5 in 2024. Fumihiko Yasuda, the director of Team NINJA, made a statement on the international edition of PlayStation.Blog, stating that the project for this work began seven years ago. I’d want to be the first to know about any upcoming information releases because this project has been a labor of love for a long time.
