Pretorius to miss the World Cup

The T20 series between India and South Africa has already ended. India won the three-match series by 2-1. South African all-rounder Dwayne Pretorius injured his finger in the last match of the series. After the test, it is known that his finger is broken. As a result, he will not be able to play the current ODI series and T20 World Cup with India.

Pretorius Ruled Out from the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022

Star cricketers like Jasprit Bumrah have been sidelined long ago due to injury issues. Another star cricketer was added to that list. Earlier Rassie van der Dusen was ruled out of the team due to a finger injury during the match against England. With this, two regular South African cricketers were knocked out of the World Cup.

His fall can hurt the team. This cricketer was outstanding in the last World Cup as well. He was the team’s highest wicket-taker bowler. He also played an important role in scoring quick runs for the team. Instead of this all-rounder, Marco Jansen or Andile Felukwao can come to the team.

Pretorius is the second important South African player to be ruled out of the T20 World Cup; middle-order batsman Rassie van der Dussen was previously sidelined with a finger injury.

Dwaine Pretorius has appeared in 27 ODIs and 30 T20I games, taking 35 wickets in each. With the bat, Pretorius scored 192 and 261 runs, respectively

On October 24 in Bellerive Oval, Hobart, South Africa will play their opening game of the competition against the Group B champion.
