DemandSage published a 2026 report on Steam active users and market-share data on Aug. 20.
The report focuses on measures of Steam’s user activity and its share of the market.
Those measures can help describe the platform’s reach among PC players, but the report’s headline alone does not establish any specific trend.
Steam Frame is listed as having launched on September 14, 2026, with reservations also noted.
A report published Nov. 2 says Steam users are opting for less powerful hardware as RAM prices rise, a potential concern for PC players weighing upgrades.
A former Epic developer has argued that Steam is so entrenched that its position may not be fixable.
A hands-on report published Nov. 2 describes a Steam demo centered on raccoon heists and compares its premise to Grand Theft Auto.
