Most playtime went elsewhere

Steam Replay 2025 reports that new PC games accounted for 14% of Steam users’ total playtime. The figure was reported on December 16, 2025.

That leaves 86% of playtime outside the “new PC games” category, though the available information does not explain how that category is defined.

The split offers a snapshot of what players spent time on, rather than how many games they bought or tried. It may interest developers and competitive scenes assessing how much attention new releases receive from Steam players.
