PC Gamer published an assessment of the Dune: Awakening beta on April 25, 2025, after spending 25 hours with the game.

A split verdict on the game’s design

The publication’s view was positive on Dune: Awakening as a survival game, but more uncertain about its MMO elements.

That distinction gives players a useful early read on the game’s two central appeals: the survival experience has made a strong impression, while the broader MMO side remains a question mark for the reviewer.
