A piece of information about the new game The Division Provided some critical elements about The Division Heartland in an exclusive Xfire article just several months ago. Two game types, the map, and the base of operations (BOO), and several other details were offered. Sources have recently revealed further facts about the game, including the fact that it will now have four modes but instead of two.
We’re already familiar with these two modes, one of which is called Excursion and the other Storm. Here’s a brief breakdown of all four modes that will be available in The Division Heartland.
Excursion
An excursion is a PvE mode that aims to prepare you for Storm. It was previously known as Expedition. In this mode, players might explore, scavenge, loot, and survive against AI enemies with the objective of experiencing the map via helicopter. Excursion, according to several people, is essentially Storm’s tutorial mode, in which players may prepare themselves with the battlefield and the concept before taking on other players.
Storm
Storm, a PvPvE game-mode, appears to be Heartland’s mainstay flagship. Players need to scavenge, loot, explore, and survive, much like participants did in Excursion. Players need to fight combat almost all the other players and AI, unlike in Excursion. The storm is a bit different from the bulk of Battle Royale and extraction-based games in that the gas expands at random areas on the map, making each battle unique and challenging.
Nightfall
Nightfall is the third objective-based PvE mode in the Heartland series. Players must loot, survive, and extract to their Base of Operations, much like they did in Storm (BOO). Nightfall is a little different, with additional layers added to increase the complexity of the game. Throughout the game, players must perform missions like constructing beacons, hunting down targets, and collecting agent data.
Unlike Storm, players cannot use a helicopter to leave; instead, participants must walk to an extraction point at the map’s edge. What’s the catch? After the sun sets, players are unable to leave Silver Creek and must fight AI enemies known as “Vultures” throughout the night.
Hunt
Hunt is still unknown, however, reports claim that it is more PvP-focused. Without having to deal with AI, players will most likely have to eliminate each other.
In addition to these upcoming modes, sources have revealed a number of other important features, including the fact that The Division Heartland will feature crossplay and is now in beta testing. In addition, the game’s inventory and equipment systems have been completely redesigned, making them more understandable to The Division players.
Sources have provided footage and portraits of The Division Heartland under the condition of secrecy and given impressions, the game appears to be scheduled to be completed. Heartland’s release has been pushed back multiple times by Ubisoft, but the game is likely to be released before the end of the year.
We should learn more about the game shortly, either during a Ubisoft showcase in the coming months or even during this year’s “E3” conference.
