The PlayStation Plus is now available across North and South America, after its debut in Asian markets last month. Everything you need to know about upgrading your plan is right here.
Three tiers of pricing are now available, with more features, games, and trials to experience as you go up in cost, with one-month, three-month, and 12-month [A year] subscriptions available. Below are brief summaries of everything you get with each tier.
Upgrading is rather straightforward, but joining the new PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium plans will need a prorated upcharge. To do so, head to your PlayStation console’s PS+ tab. You’ll see an upgrade option there. On PS5, it displayed each tier and how much it would cost to upgrade for the rest of the month, which should be only a few dollars for most people. It will notify you of your next payment date and charge you for a full-year subscription on that date when you upgrade. Don’t be concerned. It is possible to change the type of subscription you have.

How To Change Subscription Type From Yearly To Monthly
There are several ways to access your subscription preferences, but this is the most secure. Select Users and Accounts > Accounts > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions from your PlayStation console’s Settings menu. You’ll find your PS+ subscription there. You can change your plan once you’ve submitted your subscription information.
After selecting Change Plan, you’ll be presented with the three PlayStation Plus tiers to pick from. Choosing any of these will take you to a new screen where you can select the length of the subscription you’d want to pay for on a recurring basis.
Once you have locked in your desired subscription tier and timeframe, you are ready to enjoy all features of the benefits that are now available to you, and you can rest easy knowing you are not locked in for an unexpected charge next month.
