As all expected Bangladeshi poster boy Shakib Al Hasan gets T20 captaincy once again. Yes Bangladesh Cricket Board announces Bangladesh squad for Asia Cup 2022 on 13 August 2022.
After long discussion between Shakib Al Hasan with BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon along with BCB Director Jalal Younus, Team Director Khaled Mahmud Sujon and selectors Bangladesh Cricket Board finalize the Bangladesh squad for Asia Cup 2022. Last few days we all knows that Shakib is going to be the captain for T20 format once again. But it was halted for his agreement with Betwinner News Portal.
[HAFIJ]Last night Shakib returns from USA due to discussed with the BCB boss. Mr. Papon say’s BCB won’t allows any cricketers to do agreement with any Betting sites. Though Shakib was not satisfied with the decision of BCB, because he didn’t directly connect with the sites. Though he want to play for his country and to save his position he has cancelled the agreement with them after Mr. Papon’s declaration.
Last couple of days we also knows that Shakib wants to select his team for T20 of Asia Cup 2022 if he select as the captain. There are few changes comes to the Tiger squads due to injuries of regular T20 players like Nurul Hasan Sohan, Wicket Keeper batsman Liton Das. Though Sohan is still on the lists
We can also see that former hard heater batsman Sabbir Rahman is selected after 3 years. Another all-round player like Mohammd Saifuddin also selected by the team selectors.
If you see the lists you can see how the team is balanced with all department. First have a look on the batting department, Bangladesh has some talented batsman but they can’t explore them in the T20 formats so far. Still they’ve selected Former captain Mahmudulllah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Young sensation Afif Hossain, Sabbir Rahman and Parvez Hossain Emon.
[HAFIJ]On the other hand we can see they’ve a balanced All-rounders on the team like leading by the Captain himself Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mossaddek Hossain and Mahedi Hasan.
[HAFIJ]Wicket keepers are always playing a vital role along with batting skills. Team Bangladesh also selected Anamul Bijoy who’s performed in Zimbabwe ODI series because regular keeper Nurul Hasan Sohan has injury but still on the side.
[HAFIJ]On the other hand bowling attack will be lead by cutter master Mustafizur Rahman along with Taskin Ahmed, Nasum Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and new sensation Ebadot Hossain who’s regular bowler for test team.
[HAFIJ]We can say still Bangladesh Cricket Team selected their best team so far for the Asia Cup 2022 but now time will say how they perform on the field. As we all knows that Bangladesh is doing good in ODI formats but T20 and Test teams are still struggling for the long time. Supporters of Bangladesh Cricket Team is expecting that this team will show some magic under Shakib Al Hasan, because he will lead the team till T20 World Cup-2022.
